Exciting new updates to the RideShark Platform!
Our team has been hard at work, developing more ways to help users choose, and use, sustainable commute options, while and empowering administrators to more effectively understand, action, and report on their data. RideShark is now the only system in the world that includes all the features needed to offer a full commute management platform!
1. Single Trip Matching (watch video)
Post, book, pay, communicate in-app
With Single Trip Matching, users have the flexibility to book, pay, track, communicate, and rate drivers or passengers, entirely within the RideShark platform.
- Drivers and passengers can find a match based on a trip’s origin, destination, date, time, and driver/passenger preferences.
- Drivers can create Trip Posts, so passengers may find and join their trips, while passengers can create Ride Requests, to match with drivers travelling to their destination.
- Secure in-app payments ensure that drivers can share the cost of their commute, with price-per-seat limitations set to accepted government mileage reimbursement rates.
- RideShark’s proprietary LiveTrackTM functionality means that drivers and passengers can share their trip progress with friends and family. More importantly, each carpool trip is logged automatically to their commute calendars after they are completed.
2. Event Matching (watch video)
Help people get to events by carpooling
Administrators can create custom events, linking driver trip posts and passenger ride requests to the event’s destination and time. This can even be used for shift workers!
- Drivers can create Trip Posts, and passengers can create Ride Requests, for organizing transportation to events.
- Users can also suggest events for Administrators to approve and post.
3. Dynamic Trip Logging (watch video)
Your branded apps now offer automatic GPS trip logging
RideShark has introduced in-app dynamic trip logging available directly on each customers branded ios and Android Apps. A user simply schedules or manually starts a trip, and the GPS will automatically start tracking. At the completion of the trip the user confirms their mode and the trip gets automatically logged on the commute calendar. The trip will automatically be logged on the Users commute calendar. Users are even able to schedule automatic dynamic trip logging at set times on specific days.
- Dynamic Trip Logging uses RideShark’s LiveTrack™ in-app feature, available on each customer’s custom branded IOS and Android Apps.
- Users are downloading and using your custom branded app for automatic trip logging. They are NOT downloading a separate, RideShark-branded app.
- LiveTrack™ automatically tracks and logs all available travel modes on the Commute Calendar.
- Users may switch LiveTrack™ on or off at their own discretion.
4. 3rd Party Fitness App Integration (watch video)
Users can connect their fitness apps for automatic trip logging
Users can now easily log their trips by connecting to their 3rd party fitness apps. We call it passive trip logging as the user is simply connecting another account to their profile.
- RideShark offers users the ability to connect their accounts to FitBit, Garmin, Under Armour (e.g. Map My Ride), and Strava. (Do you have another Fitness App that you think should be integrated? Just let us know and we’ll get it added!)
- Trips being tracked by third-party apps are automatically logged on each user’s Commute Calendar.
- Manual drag and drop trip logging is still available on desktop, mobile, and all apps.
- Users can now use any form of trip logging – from active, passive, and dynamic – to record their sustainable commute trips. Administrators will get they accurate and reliable data they need!
